PERFORMANCE

The DJI Mini 3 Pro has an upgraded 46 Megapixels camera that can capture professional shots. It includes a gimbal 1/1.3-type CMOS camera sensor and a 24mm f/1.7 fixed lens that creates outstanding image quality with good dynamic range and noise handling. The upgraded camera system offers excellent picture detail that can be useful when editing the captured shots. In addition, the camera makes it easier to shoot pictures in difficult situations.

The camera on the drone may look tiny, but you will be amazed by its quality. According to specifications, the drone can shoot 4K/60, 1080p/120, HDR, full HD 120 fps slow-mo, and vertical video. The drones contain everything an amateur pilot requires to create fantastic footage. Features like obstacle avoidance are great for starters as they can protect them from quickly crashing their drone. There are a lot of creative combinations one can handle according to his expertise and shoot brilliant footage. The drone has larger propellers than its predecessor models and is much more stable in windy conditions. Even at higher altitudes above 400 feet, the drone is less likely to indicate any struggles with the wind. Such improvements create flight satisfaction since pilots can use the DJI Mini 3 Pro in almost any environment. With such excellent specifications and performance, it is safe to say that this will probably be the best drone for photography in 2022.

DESIGN

The Mini 3 Pro has a similar design to its predecessors. However, there are some significant deviations that we should not overlook. First, a scooped-out extension in the body encompasses the upgraded camera. This design gives the drone more balance and protects sensitive equipment through the protective hood. Another additional feature is the front and backwards-facing obstacle sensor alongside the downward sensor. The sensors combined with APAS 4.0 allow a more protective inflight experience. They not only stop the drone before crashing into obstacles but also smoothly creates a path for safe flight. Finally, the Intelligent Battery has a flight time of 34 minutes in windless conditions.

REMOTE CONTROLLER

The Mini 3 Pro has two controller options: the default RC-N1 controller and the new DJI RC Controller. The RC-N1 controller needs no introductions as it's already a default controller requiring a smartphone to be connected. The new DJI RC Controller is a game-changer; if you have a few extra bucks to spend. The DJI RC has a built-in 5.5-inch touchscreen display with excellent grip, freeing the controller from smartphone pairing. The integrated chipset runs the DJI App, making it easier for the user to operate. The RC controller can connect to a Wi-Fi network for an update on the device and simultaneously on the drone. It is compact and well-designed, giving crisp image quality with a high-resolution live video feed. The peak brightness makes viewing the display in direct sunlight convenient. The controller integrates with controls that include separate buttons for photo and video for fast switching and two controllers at the rear. Each option opens a new path for creativity that the users can experiment over.

CONCLUSION

The DJI Mini 3 Pro is now the best drone in the miniseries. The official retail price starts from £709. However, the price can quickly increase when you add more accessories. For example, the Fly More Kit costs £159. With the regular DJI RC-N1, the drone costs £709, and with the new DJI RC, you can expect to pay £859. Therefore, getting the DJI Mini 3 Pro with the latest Remote Controller [RC] is advisable. The RC provides the best flying experience with the pre-installed DJI Fly App and a built-in 5.5-inch HD display for crispy viewing in direct sunlight. If price is a factor, you could consider the DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo, which is just £559 RRP. Although it costs more than other drones in the series, the DJI Mini 3 Pro is arguably a piece of high-quality equipment that can satisfy every hobbyist.
